Ingredients
Pie Crust ‘Chips’
- 2 pie crusts (1 package of store-bought)
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- ¾ cup cinnamon sugar
Almond Crumble Topping
- 1 ¼ cup almond flour
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil, melted
Cinnamon Sugar Apples
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 4 granny smith apples, peeled and cut into medium pieces
- ¼ cup cinnamon sugar
Toppings
- 2 cups cool whip or whipped cream
- 3 tablespoons caramel sauce
Instructions
- For the pie crust ‘chips’
1. Preheat the oven to 350℉ and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Bring the refrigerated pie doughs to room temperature and roll out on a cutting board. Cut one dough into 8 triangle pieces.
3. Brush with melted butter, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar, and bake for 5-6 minutes. Flip, repeat, and bake until golden.
4. Repeat for the second dough. - For the toppings
5. Make the crumble topping by combining almond flour, salt, honey, and coconut oil.
6. Cook apples in butter and cinnamon sugar until tender. - To assemble
7. Arrange pie crust ‘chips’ on a platter. Top with cooked apples, crumble topping, whipped cream, and caramel sauce.
