Description

A delicious and hearty Blackstone Loaded Hash Browns recipe combining crispy hash browns, savory breakfast sausage, fluffy scrambled eggs, sautéed onions, and melted cheddar cheese, perfect for a satisfying breakfast or brunch on your griddle.

Ingredients

Scale

Hash Browns and Vegetables

  • 3 cups Shredded Frozen Hash Browns (defrosted)
  • 1/2 Onion (finely diced)
  • 1/4 cup Butter (divided)

Protein

  • 1 Pound Breakfast Sausage Links (sliced)
  • 6 Eggs

Other

  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat Griddle: Preheat the Blackstone griddle over medium heat to approximately 350 degrees F. Spread half of the butter onto the griddle with a spatula and let it melt completely.
  2. Sauté Onions: Add the diced onions to the melted butter on the griddle and sauté for 3-4 minutes until the onions become soft and translucent.
  3. Melt Remaining Butter: Add the remaining butter to the grill and allow it to fully melt, preparing for the hash browns.
  4. Cook Hash Browns: Spread the defrosted hash browns out in a single layer on one side of the grill with the cooked onions. Toss to combine, then let them cook undisturbed to brown on one side.
  5. Brown Sausage: On the other side of the grill, brown the sliced breakfast sausage until fully cooked and nicely caramelized.
  6. Scramble Eggs: In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Pour the mixture onto the grill and scramble directly on the griddle until cooked through.
  7. Flip Hash Browns: After several minutes, once the hash browns have browned on the bottom side, carefully flip them with a large spatula to cook the other side until browned.
  8. Assemble Layers: Once hash browns are cooked, layer the scrambled eggs, browned sausage, and shredded cheddar cheese on one half of the hash browns on the grill.
  9. Fold Hash Browns: Flip the other half of the hash browns over the toppings to create a folded loaded hash brown.
  10. Melt Cheese: Reduce the griddle heat to low and allow the cheese to melt by heating the assembled hash brown for a few minutes.
  11. Serve: Remove the loaded hash browns from the griddle, serve warm, and enjoy your hearty breakfast!
