  • Author: Lily
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 12 sliders 1x

Description

These Buffalo Chicken Sliders combine shredded rotisserie chicken tossed in spicy Frank’s buffalo sauce with creamy ranch and melted cheddar and mozzarella cheeses. Served on sweet Hawaiian rolls brushed with garlic butter and baked until golden and bubbly, these sliders are a perfect game day or party appetizer that’s quick and easy to prepare.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken Mixture

  • 3 cups rotisserie chicken, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Ranch dressing
  • 1/2 cup Frank’s buffalo sauce
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded (divided)
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded (divided)

Rolls & Butter Topping

  • 1 package King’s Hawaiian Rolls (12 count)
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350° F (175° C) to prepare for baking the sliders.
  2. Prepare Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter and garlic powder. Set this mixture aside for brushing the top of the buns later.
  3. Mix Chicken Filling: In another bowl, combine shredded rotisserie chicken with ranch dressing, buffalo sauce, and half of the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses. Mix well to evenly coat the chicken.
  4. Prepare Rolls: Carefully split the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom half of the rolls in a 9×13 inch baking dish sprayed with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  5. Assemble Sliders: Spread the buffalo chicken mixture evenly over the bottom halves of the rolls. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar and mozzarella cheeses on top of the chicken mixture.
  6. Add Top Buns and Butter: Place the top halves of the buns on the cheese layer. Brush the tops of the buns generously with the prepared garlic butter mixture for flavor and a golden finish.
  7. Bake Covered: Cover the baking dish tightly with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. This allows the filling to heat through and the cheese to melt.
  8. Bake Uncovered: Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the tops of the sliders turn golden brown and slightly crispy.
  9. Serve: Remove the sliders from the oven, slice them apart, and serve warm. These are perfect for casual gatherings and game day snacking.

Notes

  • Using rotisserie chicken speeds up preparation time and adds extra flavor.
  • You can adjust the amount of buffalo sauce to make the sliders more or less spicy according to your preference.
  • Make sure to cover the sliders with foil while baking to keep them moist.
  • For an extra kick, add diced celery or blue cheese crumbles inside the chicken mixture.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven or microwave.
