Description
Churro Saltine Toffee is a delightful twist on traditional toffee, combining the buttery richness of toffee with the crunch of saltine crackers, topped with chocolate, cinnamon, and a hint of sea salt.

Saltine crackers:
- 1 sleeve of saltine crackers
Unsalted butter:
- 1 cup
Brown sugar:
- 1 cup
Semi-sweet chocolate chips:
- 1 cup
Cinnamon:
- 2 teaspoons
Granulated sugar:
- 1/2 cup
Sea salt:
- As needed for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat oven and line a baking sheet. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Arrange saltine crackers on the baking sheet. Place the saltine crackers in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Melt butter and brown sugar in a saucepan. In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar together, stirring constantly until it reaches a boil.
- Pour toffee mixture over crackers and bake. Pour the hot toffee mixture over the saltine crackers, spreading it evenly, and bake for 5-7 minutes.
- Add chocolate chips and cinnamon sugar. Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the chocolate chips over the hot toffee. Mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle this mixture over the chocolate chips.
- Finish with a sprinkle of sea salt. Lightly sprinkle sea salt over the top.
- Cool and break into pieces. Allow the toffee to cool completely, then break it into pieces and enjoy!
Notes
- Be careful when handling the hot toffee mixture as it can cause burns.
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature.
