- 5 cups mini marshmallows
- 1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips
- 5 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 1/4 cup corn syrup
- 7 cups Golden Grahams cereal
- 1 cup mini marshmallows (for stirring in)
Instructions
- Prepare baking pan: Butter or grease a 9×13 inch baking pan to ensure the bars don’t stick after setting.
- Melt ingredients: In a large saucepan over low heat, combine 5 cups mini marshmallows, 1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips, 5 tablespoons butter, and 1/4 cup corn syrup. Stir gently with a rubber spatula until everything is fully melted and smooth.
- Remove from heat and mix: Once melted, remove the saucepan from heat and immediately stir in 7 cups Golden Grahams cereal and 1 cup mini marshmallows. The mixture will be very sticky.
- Transfer to pan: Spoon the sticky batter into the prepared 9×13 pan. Use the back of a lightly greased spatula to flatten and evenly press the mixture down.
- Set and cut: Allow the bars to harden at room temperature for about 60 minutes before cutting into squares for serving.
Notes
- Lightly greasing the spatula when pressing the mixture into the pan helps prevent sticking and makes smoothing easier.
- To speed up the setting time, you can refrigerate the bars but let them return to room temperature before serving for the best texture.
- Store bars in an airtight container at room temperature to keep them fresh.
- Corn syrup helps to keep the bars chewy and prevents crystallization of sugar.
