- ¾ cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the wonton cups.
- Prepare Wonton Cups: Brush both sides of each wonton wrapper with melted butter. Carefully press each wrapper into the cups of a mini muffin tin to form small cups. Bake in the preheated oven for 7 minutes until the wonton wrappers become slightly crispy.
- Mix the Filling: In a small bowl, combine the diced jalapeños, softened cream cheese, sliced green onions, shredded mozzarella cheese, and ½ cup of the shredded cheddar cheese. Mix well to create a creamy, spicy filling. Reserve ¼ cup of shredded cheddar cheese for topping later.
- Fill and Bake: Spoon the cream cheese mixture evenly into each baked wonton cup. Sprinkle the reserved ¼ cup cheddar cheese on top of each filled cup. Return the muffin tin to the oven and bake for 12 to 14 minutes, or until the cheese topping is melted and the wonton wrappers turn golden brown.
- Cool and Serve: Remove the wonton cups from the oven and allow them to cool for about 3 minutes. Serve warm to enjoy the crispy texture and gooey filling.
