Description

This Thanksgiving Chocolate Oreo Pie is a rich and creamy dessert featuring a crunchy Oreo cookie crust filled with a fluffy chocolate and cream cheese filling. Perfect for holiday gatherings, this no-bake pie combines the classic flavors of Oreo cookies and chocolate in an easy-to-make treat that can be prepared ahead of time and chilled until set.

Ingredients

Scale

For the crust:

  • 24 Oreo cookies (regular, not Double Stuf)
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

For the filling:

  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted and slightly cooled
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 (8 oz) tub whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed

For garnish (optional):

  • Crushed Oreos
  • Chocolate shavings
  • Whipped cream swirls

Instructions

  1. Make the crust: Crush the Oreos into fine crumbs using a food processor or place them in a zip-top bag and crush with a rolling pin. Mix the crumbs with melted butter until fully combined. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom and sides of a 9-inch pie dish to form an even crust. Chill the crust in the refrigerator while preparing the filling.
  2. Prepare the filling: In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth and creamy. Stir in the melted chocolate and vanilla extract until fully incorporated, creating a rich chocolate mixture.
  3. Fold in the whipped topping: Gently fold the thawed whipped topping into the chocolate mixture until no streaks remain and the filling is light and fluffy.
  4. Assemble the pie: Pour the prepared filling into the chilled Oreo crust and smooth the top evenly with a spatula.
  5. Chill & set: Cover the pie with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 3 to 4 hours, or overnight, to allow the filling to firm up completely.
  6. Decorate & serve: Just before serving, garnish the pie with crushed Oreos, chocolate shavings, or whipped cream swirls to add an attractive and festive touch. Slice and enjoy this delicious holiday dessert!
